GAP analysis according to NIS2
In today’s digital era, cybersecurity is an absolute necessity for any organisation. As part of the NIS2 GAP analysis, we provide a comprehensive assessment of your information systems, procedures, policies, infrastructure, and employee training. The aim is to verify whether you meet all the requirements set by this new European Union directive.

What is NIS2?
NIS2 is an updated European Union directive on network and information systems security, which builds upon the original 2016 directive. NIS2 aims to strengthen cyber security in the European Union. It introduces stricter regulations, extends its scope to more sectors, sets more specific security requirements and allows Member States to impose sanctions on organisations that fail to meet these requirements. In this way, the EU can more effectively counter cyber threats across the digital landscape.
Risks of non-compliance with the NIS2 Directive
Fines and penalties:
EU Member States have the power to impose fines on organisations that fail to comply with the NIS2. The amount of the fine can be substantial and depends on the seriousness of the non-compliance with the Directive.
An increase in cybersecurity costs in the future:
The longer an organisation delays implementing the necessary measures, the more expensive and complicated future remediation can be.
Restricted eligibility for public procurement
In some sectors, failure to comply with the Directive may limit an organisation’s ability to participate in public procurement or enter new markets.
Compromising sensitive information
Inadequate security measures can lead to the leakage of important and sensitive data, which can result in financial losses, breaches of trade secrets and other damages.
Loss of strategic partnerships:
Many companies now require their partners to meet certain security standards, which means that failure to meet NIS2 can lead to the termination of some partnerships.
Loss of customer confidence:
If customers find that an organisation does not meet basic cyber standards, they may decide to move their business elsewhere, resulting in a drop in sales.
Supply chain disruption:
If an organisation operates as a key element in the supply chain, its vulnerabilities can impact many other companies.
Loss of competitive advantage:
Organisations that comply with the Directive and invest in cybersecurity can gain a competitive advantage by being perceived as more trustworthy and secure.
Legal liability risk:
In the event of a security incident, an organisation may face legal action from the affected parties, which can result in high damages and legal costs.
