Cloud-to-Cloud Backup
Every company that uses Microsoft 365 products has a large amount of differently important data stored in this environment. Microsoft does not back up this data itself and recommends in its terms and conditions that you back it up using a third-party solution. With Barracuda Networks’ solution, developed in partnership with Microsoft, you get a very easy tool for comprehensive backup and recovery of all data from this environment. The license includes unlimited storage for backups with unlimited retention.

How is backup deployment performed?
Starting the service
Use your Microsoft 365 administrator account to allow our component to back up data from selected applications in your M365 environment. The entire setup will take no more than 5 minutes.
Starting the initial backup
All selected applications create their first backup and then regular backups are performed. The duration of the initial backup depends on the size of the environment. Usually all data is backed up within a few hours.
Renew as needed
The administrator can restore a deleted email, a badly edited table or a SharePoint document with a few clicks as needed. You can run an on-demand backup at any time.
Description of Cloud-to-Cloud Backup
Barracuda’s Cloud-to-Cloud Backup is a unique solution that offers fully granular backup of all M365 application data. There is no need to address the size of the attached or leased storage as with competing solutions, as unlimited storage is already included in the price of the service, including unlimited retention. Data does not leave the Microsoft Azure environment. As a result, backups are also available at scale for disaster recovery scenarios.
Data protection in Microsoft 365:
It focuses specifically on Microsoft 365 environments and protects data in various applications such as Teams, Exchange, SharePoint and OneDrive, including OneNote.
Ease of use and fast backups:
The service is known for its fast backup processes, highly detailed recovery options and unmatched ease of use. Users can activate the service by logging into Barracuda Cloud Control and selecting the Cloud-to-Cloud Backup source.
Advanced search and recovery:
The service allows users to quickly and easily find and recover the exact data they want using advanced search capabilities. This is particularly useful in scenarios such as ransomware attacks or other cyber threats.
Backup options:
The service allows users to back up all email messages, attachments and folder structure of each user’s mail account in Exchange Online. It also includes data backup directly to Barracuda Cloud storage.
Flexible implementation:
Barracuda Cloud-to-Cloud Backup can be used as an add-on to an on-premises Barracuda Backup appliance or as a standalone subscription with no appliance required.
Data retention policies:
Users have the flexibility to define their own backup retention policies. This feature allows you to restore a former user’s data to another user account or to a new account if necessary.
